The Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) is pleased to congratulate this year’s award recipients. In 2006, 32 scholarships, bursaries and other study awards, totalling $140,000, were granted. A further $11,610 was given to 31 nurses in the form of Certification Awards.

CNF is the only national foundation solely committed to promoting the health and patient care of Canadians by financially supporting Canadian nurses engaged in higher education, research and specialty certification; advocating dissemination and utilization of nursing knowledge; and, fostering excellence in nursing. Funding for all our awards comes from the generous gifts, donations and bequests from individuals and organizations that support the goals of the Foundation. We are grateful for the commitment provided by all the individuals, corporations and organizations which support these awards and the profession of nursing.
